The Pakistan Army today said issue of reopening up of NATO supply was not discussed during the recent telephonic interaction between top military officials of the two sides.
Referring to a phone conversation on Monday between Gen John Allen, the commander of the US-led International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan, and Pakistan Army chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, the Inter-Services Public Relations said the "issue of reopening up of NATO supply route never came under discussion".
The ISPR said the issue of reopening the supply routes, closed after a cross-border NATO air strike killed 24 Pakistani soldiers last month, was highlighted in Allen's statements.
"It would be appreciated that unnecessary speculation in this regard is avoided", the ISPR said in a statement.
Addressing a news conference in Kabul, Allen had said that he was seeing signs of a possible lifting of Pakistan's communications blackout with ISAF.
